MY MIND-YOUTH GOVERNMENT






When I think about Governance in this country, it pains me a lot that views of we the youth are being recognised, rather our future is being used by political parties to gamble. We the youth have better suggestions to give that will help govern this nation, but these are not ready to be heard. Why should the adult always think that, what they think is the best. Every policy or action taken by government of meant to be for a better future and we the youth are the future, so why aren't we allowed to decide the type of future they want.

I think the voice of we the youth should be heard first before any policy or action is taken by government. How can this be possible? One day as I lay in my bed waiting for sleep to take over from me, I asked why can't there be youth government? I started imaging how it could b established. A youth government is not necessary having a government full of youth. I rather think of a different body aside the the general government of the day. These class of youth, I limit it to the ages of 18- 25yrs. This body is going to have and perform similar of the general government. This replica government will also be representative government, it should have leaders right from the district level to the national level.

Issues will be discussed at district levels among youth and channelled to the national levels. Whatever decision reached will now be put forward for the general government of the day to implement as a policy. Leaders are also going to be elected through a democratic process. This is going to make youth really useful in building the Ghana, we all want to see. This is not going to be affiliated to any political party. It's going to be an independent body.

Don’t Listen to Everything you Hear

Listening is very different from hearing. Hearing can simply be defined as the ability to perceive sound using the auditory sense, better still; getting to know or become aware of something. But listening on the other hand is paying close attention or taking a careful note of the sound that is perceived. This means listening depends on hearing.
