MY MIND-YOUTH GOVERNMENT

Image
When I think about Governance in this country, it pains me a lot that views of we the youth are being recognised, rather our future is being used by political parties to gamble. We the youth have better suggestions to give that will help govern this nation, but these are not ready to be heard. Why should the adult always think that, what they think is the best. Every policy or action taken by government of meant to be for a better future and we the youth are the future, so why aren't we allowed to decide the type of future they want. I think the voice of we the youth should be heard first before any policy or action is taken by government. How can this be possible? One day as I lay in my bed waiting for sleep to take over from me, I asked why can't there be youth government? I started imaging how it could b established. A youth government is not necessary having a government full of youth. I rather think of a different body aside the the general government of...

THAT IS GHANA FOR YOU.

Ghana, a country on the West Coast of Africa, is one of the most thriving democracies on the continent. It has often been referred to as an "island of peace" in one of the most chaotic regions on earth. It shares boundaries with Togo to the east, la Cote d'Ivoire to the west, Burkina Faso to the north and the Gulf of Guinea, to the south. A recent discovery of oil in the Gulf of Guinea could make Ghana an important oil producer and exporter in the next few years. The country's economy is dominated by agriculture, which employs about 40 percent of the working population. Ghana is one of the leading exporters of cocoa in the world. It is also a significant exporter of commodities such as gold and lumber. A country covering an area of 238,500 square kilometres , Ghana has an estimated population of 22 million, drawn from more than one hundred ethnic groups - each with its own unique language. English, however, is the official language, a legacy of Bri...

Ghana- My Home Land.

Ghana, nation in West Africa, a former British colony known as the Gold Coast until 1957. That year Ghana became the first state in sub-Saharan Africa to gain political independence from European colonial rule. Drawing on tradition, the new state took its name from that of the medieval empire of Ghana, on the upper Niger River, several hundred miles to the Northwest of modern Ghana. Following independence, Ghana assumed the leadership role in the African continent’s struggle for national liberation. The people of this densely populated country belong to more than 100 different ethnic groups, but Ghana has largely been spared the ethnic conflict that has torn apart many other African countries. The capital city of Accra is the largest city in the country. English is the official language of the country, but most Ghanaians also speak at least one African language. Ghana has one of the strongest economies in...

Politics in Ghana.

Politics in Ghana of late, is becoming appalling. Instead of addressing pressing issues, they go about insulting each other, calling each other all sort of names. It makes me sad, because it has not got anything important for the youth. Unemployment is on the increase, social vices are common everywhere. There is no week passing without accident, rape, robbery cases, should that be the issue? It is time, we the youth come together. When we are together, we makeup a strong voice to speak against these politicians who are only interested in filling their Swiss bank accounts. God of Isaac, Save Ghana.
